MINING PEOPLE: K+S Potash and New Age Metals

[caption id="attachment_1003723874" align="alignleft" width="227"] Sam Ferris[/caption] Sam Ferris has replaced Dr. Ullrich Lamp as president of K+S Potash Canada in Saskatoon, Sask. Ferris joined the company in 2011 and was most recently senior VP and general manager of the Bethune potash mine. He will continue his duties as general manager at the mine as well as adding the duties of president. New Age Metals of Vancouver has hired veteran mining engineer Michael Neumann to oversee the River Valley PGM project 60 km east of Sudbury, Ont. He will supervise the publication of the initial preliminary economic assessment for the property.
