New Millennium Iron Corp. of Calgary has named Gino Levesque as senior VP of projects and logistics. He has been VP and general manager at Wabush mine and VP for eastern Canada Iron Ore for Cliffs Natural Resources. He holds a bachelor in engineering from Ecole de technologie superieure de Montreal and an MBA from Universite de Quebec a Montreal. Levesque is also a graduate of the General Management Program at Harvard Business School.

Nigel Ward is now director for promotion and market development at the Nickel Institute in Brussels, Belgium.

Toronto-based Probe Mines has appointed Michael Petrina its new COO. He will lead the development of the Borden gold project near Chapleau, ON. He has worked in operations, engineering and consulting roles in both open pit and underground environments. His experience includes the start-up and subsequent operation of three projects: Teck Resources' Bullmoose coal, TVX's New Britannia mine and Pan American Silver's Hauron mine. He also played a key role in the development of Adanac Molybdenum's Ruby Creek project taking it to the detailed engineering phase.

Romios Gold Resources of Toronto has made Frank van de Water its COO. He has been a director of the company since 2007.

Sergey Yanchukov is now CEO and Irina Shakhalieva is interim CFO of White Tiger Gold of Toronto.
