(Image: Midland Exploration)[/caption] QUEBEC – Midland Exploration of Montreal is resuming exploration at its Laflamme nickel-copper-platinum group metals project 25 km northwest of Lebel-sur-Quevillon in the Abitibi region. This year’s program includes a squid-type electromagnetic survey of the Copernick zone discovered in the spring of 2016. A helicopter-borne, high resolution magnetic survey is also planned. Drilling the Copernick zone returned two separate zones of mostly massive mineralization. The first zone assayed 1.11% nickel, 0.47% copper, 0.21 g/t platinum and 0.79 g/t palladium over 3.50 metres from 449.00 to 452.50 metres. The second zone assayed 0.44% nickel, 0.88% copper, 0.21 g/t platinum and 0.27 g/t palladium over 4.05 metres, from 458.95 to 463.00 metres. Midland noted that the mineralization is hosted in ultramafic intrusive rocks containing variable amounts of pyrrhotite, pentlandite, and chalcopyrite. More information about the Copernick zone is posted at www.MidlandExploration.com.
