ONTARIO — First Nickel of Toronto has received the initial 43-101 estimate for its West Graham property, 1.5 km east of the No.2 headframe at the Lockerby mine near Sudbury. There are 8.55 million tonnes averaging 0.45% Ni, 0.31% Cu, 0.01% Co plus precious metals in the indicated category. The inferred portion is 2.00 million tonnes at 0.38% Ni, 0.30% Cu, 0.01% Co plus precious metals. There is also a boundary pillar of 270,000 tonnes grading 0.57% Ni, 0.33% Cu, 0.02% Co plus precious metals.

The numbers come from the Conwest zone near the surface. First Nickel estimates that it contains 84 million lb of nickel and 58 million lb of copper within the indicated resource. The zone is described as a large, low-grade disseminated sulphide deposit hosted by dark norite and located stratigraphically above sublayer norite at the base of the Sudbury Igneous Complex.

First Nickel optioned the West Graham property from Landore Resources Canada, and the details were provided in a press release dated Aug. 3, 2005, posted at www.FirstNickel.com. That makes the West Graham property the first for which First Nickel has no obligations to either Xstrata or Vale Inco.
