MINNESOTA - Talon Metals Corp. of the British Virgin Islands has released the first resource estimate for its Tamarack nickel-copper-platinum group project 85 km west of Duluth.

The project includes two deposits, Tamarack North and Tamarack South. The following numbers refer to the Tamarack North portion of the project. The indicated category comprises 3.75 million tonnes averaging 1.81% Ni, 1.00% Cu, 0.05% Co, 0.41 g/t Pt, 0.25 g/t Pd and 0.19 g/t Au (that equates to a 2.35% NiEq at a cut-off of 0.9% Ni). There are also 3.12 million inferred tonnes with grades of grading 1.22% Ni, 0.82% Cu, 0.03% Co, 0.26 g/t Pt, 0.16 g/t Pd and 0.16 g/t Au (or 1.63% NiEq at the same cut-off grade).

Talon's 2014 drilling program at Tamarack North began early in August and will include about 8,500 metres. The program will focus on the coarse grained peridotite intrusion as well as the extension of the 138 mixed zone mineralization.

Talon (TalonMetals.com) struck a deal in June this year with Kennecott Exploration to earn an initial 30% interest in the Tamarack project.
