TORONTO - SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC's new and versatile Telemecanique Unity Pro 2.0 programming software facilitates IEC 61131-2 programming, debugging and maintenance of Modicon Quantum, Premium and Atrium controllers reducing design and development costs. The software is ideally suited to large machine and process applications requiring sophisticated programming in a collaborative environment.

Telemechanique software features reduced file sizes for faster processing, hot-standby capabilities for critical applications, a built-in interactive operator screen to streamline maintenance, a full-function simulator to enable bench-testing of applications and user-defined function blocks to simplify programming.

Now available in multi-seat licences that enable as few as three or as many as 100 users to collaborate in control system design, operation and maintenance, Unity Pro 2.0 software facilitates integration across disciplines, enabling individuals and teams to share ideas and information using the industry standard XML format. A functional view of the program allows a user to organize all related resources - program sections, drawings, manuals, operator screens and third party programs - all in one location for each process function through the use of hyperlinks. Functional section import and export capabilities eliminate programming errors when duplicating program sections or moving a section to another application.
