QUEBEC – Fifty years ago Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE) launched the world’s first articulated hauler, the Volvo DR 631, in Braås, Sweden. “Gravel Charlie” quickly became a construction industry icon and operator favourite, with over 70,000 articulated haulers sold throughout the world. During the week of July 19 through to July 22 the Golden Hauler will be traveling to many Strongco locations in Quebec and be showcased for exclusive viewings to customers and local area trade schools. There will also be special guest speakers from Volvo and Skills/Compétences Canada to promote careers in skilled trades and technologies to Canadian youth. It’s a full travel agenda packed with exciting speakers and demonstrations at multiple Strongco branches and customer locations.
