YUKON TERRITORY - Vancouver-based NORTH AMERICAN TUNGSTEN CORP. is once again the western world's largest supplier of tungsten concentrate with the reopening of its Cantung mine 300 km northeast of Watson Lake. Shipments of concentrates resumed last week.
Both the pit and underground E zone are producing ore. The mill capacity is 400,000 tonnes of concentrate per year or 7% of global tungsten production. Minable reserves are estimated at 771,000 tonnes grading 1.75% WO3.
