Every year Canadian Mining Journal awards a prize to one of the readers who send us their opinions about issues of the magazine. Those opinions are given by filling in the questionnaires that we mail out to randomly selected readers, or by using the "contest" button in our web site, www.CanadianMiningJournal.com.

Although we have been tardy in selecting a winner for last year, we can now announce that the winner of our 2002 Reader Survey Contest is Mr. Roma Par, an electrical foreman with LAB CHRYSOTILE INC. in Thetford Mines, Que. Mr. Par gave us his opinions about the February 2002 issue in a questionnaire that we had mailed to him. He'll receive more than a penny for his thoughts. We have sent him a 1/10th ounce 2002 Maple Leaf gold coin.

Thank you to the 71 people who entered our contest in 2002. Please respond when you receive a questionnaire in the mail, or visit our web site at CMJ Contest to enter the contest. You could be the winner next year!
