We at CMJ are always pleased to hear from foreign readers. Here is a note from one in China, who is looking hopefully toward Canada thanks to what he heard on Radio Canada International.

"I'm a Chinese undergraduate of Henan Polytechnic University, which was founded in 1909 funded by a British company. My major is mining, the university's best.

"I've long been eager to work in Canada, for in China the mines companies are filled with accidents and corruption. And there are too many parties here: if you can't smoke cigarettes and drink alcohol, you won't get a high position.

"I'm eager to make some penfriends who are native Canadian to communicate ideas, experience and improve written English."
