GOLD: Abcourt continues to drill bonanza grades at Elder mine

QUEBEC – Abcourt Mines of Mont St Hilaire, QC, continues to cut bonanza grades during definition drilling in the upper part of its Elder gold mine near Rouyn-Noranda.

QUEBEC – Abcourt Mines of Mont St Hilaire, QC, continues to cut bonanza grades during definition drilling in the upper part of its Elder gold mine near Rouyn-Noranda.

Two holes that were part of the program to upgrade the classification of inferred resources returned the high grades between 35 and 50 metres below surface. Over 2.03 metres, hole E13-60 assayed 55.37 g/t Au, including 1.53 g/t over 1.53 metres. The other hole, E13-74, cut 1.58 metres that assayed 10.82 g/t Au.

Abcourt is planning to reopen the Elder mine. It is serviced to 792 metres, and the hoist and its building are intact. During development work the company has collected a surface stockpile of roughly 10,000 tonnes of material containing 1,700 oz of recoverable gold.
