Minelab has debuted its newest gold detector, the GPZ 8000, in Ballarat, Australia, a region historically significant for gold discovery. The flagship detector, available in two configurations, aims to extend gold detection performance, depth, and operational range beyond previous models. Minelab states that uncompromising engineering drives the detector, positioning it as a pinnacle of the company's innovation and a key advancement for professional gold prospectors globally.

Minelab is known for its innovation in advanced electronic detection technologies since 1985. The company's products are used worldwide for gold prospecting, treasure hunting, humanitarian demining, and countermine operations. Headquartered in Mawson Lakes, South Australia, Minelab operates regional offices globally. Minelab is part of the Codan Group.

The GPZ 8000 is designed for demanding goldfields worldwide, offering performance across diverse terrains and mineralized ground. Minelab plans to introduce the detector across the world's most active gold prospecting regions.

"Minelab has spent decades pushing the boundaries of possibility in gold detection. The GPZ 8000 detector sets a new benchmark. It delivers power, sensitivity and control at levels never before achieved in a single gold detector. Every aspect of GPZ 8000's design reflects Minelab's relentless pursuit of technical excellence, drawing on decades of goldfield expertise and advanced signal processing leadership," Ben Harvey, executive general manager of Minelab, stated.

The GPZ 8000 detector features significant advancements, including enhanced ZVT performance and a powerful new audio system designed for clarity and target detail. It also incorporates intelligent performance technologies that adapt across a wide range of ground conditions. The launch introduces the new Z-Set Concentric Toroidal Coil Range, comprising the Z13 13", Z17 17", and Z18 18" coils, each engineered for specific terrains and designed to detect various sizes of gold in highly mineralized soils.

Key features include GeoZVT for performance in challenging environments and Echo Sonic Pro Audio for enhanced sound quality. The detector offers Ground Type Selection for optimized performance in various terrains and the Z-Set Concentric Toroidal Coil Range, with coils tailored for different target sizes and ground conditions.

Each GPZ 8000 detector includes a PRO-SWING 125 Harness, GA10 Guide Arm, Audiophile Wired Headphones, Universal USB-C (AC) Charger, 2 Li-ion Batteries, Screen Protector Kit, and WM 14 Wireless Audio Module. Packout options allow customers to choose between a 3-coil packout (Z13, Z17, and Z18 coils) or a 1-coil packout (Z18 coil).
