Vizsla Copper (TSXV: VCU; US-OTC: VCUFF) says it has started drilling at its Copperview project in south-central B.C.

The drill program will consist of over 2,000 metres of core drilling focused on the M5 target, a previously undrilled anomaly the company identified in June. The target is along trend and 6.5 kilometres north of Kodiak Copper’s (CVE: KDK) Gate Zone discovery at its MPD project.

“The launch of our inaugural drill program at Copperview will bring us to approximately 40,000 metres of total drilling across our portfolio of copper projects this year,” said Craig Parry, Vizsla’s chair and CEO. “This fully funded program will focus on the recently identified M5 target area, which we have been very eager to test.”

Located 40 kilometres north of Princeton, B.C., Copperview is a 11,630-hectare copper-gold project. The site is positioned near major mines, including Anglo Teck’s (TSX: TECK) Highland Valley copper and New Gold’s (TSX: NGD) New Afton mines.

Two diamond drill rigs are now mobilized on site and are advancing the first two drill holes of the program.

Poplar update

The company also announced that phase 2 drilling has wrapped at its Poplar copper-molybdenum project in central B.C.

The program consisted of over 8,800 metres across 17 drill holes along the Thira alteration corridor, where Vizsla made its Thira discovery in 2025, and has since identified the Camp Lake and Copper Pond targets.

Phase 1 drilling, which finished in May, included highlight hole TH26-154, which returned 304.8 metres of 0.48% CuEq,  including 45.0 meters of 0.58% CuEq.

Results are pending from all completed drill holes in phase 2.
