50 years of geophysics service
This is the 50th year of operations for Ottawa-based Sander Geophysics (www.sgl.com). Founded by Dr. George Sander, the company has grown to be the largest independently owned airborne survey company in the world. It flies airborne geophysical surveys worldwide for petroleum and mineral exploration companies and government clients.
Specializing in airborne gravity, magnetic, radiometric and electromagnetic surveys, Sander owns and operates a fleet of 10 specially modified airplanes and helicopters. It offers gravity surveying with AIRGRav, designed and built by Sander specifically for the unique characteristics of the airborne environment. This design approach has resulted in a superior gravity instrument that can be flown in an efficient light aircraft during normal daytime conditions. In addition, AIRGrav is routinely flown in combination with a magnetometer to increase the potential survey benefits.
