50th anniversary for Flygt Canada

ITT Flygt, inventor and manufacturer of submersible pumps and mixers, is celebrating 50 years of service to the Canadian municipal, mining, construction and industrial sectors in 2005.

In 1955 Flygt started doing business in Canada, establishing a private company in Vancouver. It entered the market through direct sales and opened its first branch in Quebec City in 1962, and later opened its head office in Montreal because of the city’s port facilities. Flygt Canada now has 185 employees and fourteen offices throughout the country–in St. John’s, Halifax, Moncton, Quebec, Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Sudbury, Thunder Bay, Winnipeg, Saskatoon, Edmonton, Calgary and Vancouver–plus 24 authorized distributors.

ITT Flygt offers submersible pumps for water and wastewater; submersible mixers for process and treatment plants, sophisticated controls and control systems for water and wastewater, as well as other related accessories and products. Services include pump and mixer repairs, system start-up, preventative maintenance and technical product service support.
