Chromite Patent Awarded to Pro-Or

Canadian Mining Journal Staff | October 1, 2004 | 12:00 am

A worldwide patent has been awarded to Ressources Minires Pro-Or Inc. for its chromite enrichment technology. The company has also applied for a patent for its PGE extraction technology. The chromite technology is available for licensing.

Pro-Or has developed its new processes as part of the exploration and development of its Menarik property in the James Bay region of Quebec. The property has about 30 chromitite horizons, several of which contain palladium and platinum values. A semi-industrial pilot plant is under construction.

An explanation of both technologies appears on the company’s website at www.pro-or.com.
