CMP Web Site Launched

Canadian Mining Journal Staff | April 1, 2000 | 12:00 am

The Canadian Mineral Processors have launched a free web site at www.c-m-p.on.ca

Click on the CMP logo and enter a professional-looking and comprehensive site. It is a useful starting point for members and others.

The CMP site is remarkably easy to navigate and informative. Clicking on any of the file-tab-type markers leads directly to several sections: Who We Are; the Executive; Regional Representatives; Regional and Annual Meetings (including a registration form): Awards and their criteria; and CMP Publications (including an order form). All the information is clear and easy to read. The “Links” tab takes the visitor to a number of related web sites including the CIM, Uranium 2000 meeting, AIME, SAIMM, SMME, AIMM and more.

CMP Elects Executive

The following people have been elected to the executive committee of the Canadian Mineral Processors:

Chairman Maurice Tagami of EuroZinc Mining in Vancouver; Past Chairman Richard May of AGRA Monenco in Calgary; 1st Vice-Chairman Michael Smith of Hatch Associates in Toronto; 2nd Vice-Chairman Jan Nesset of the Noranda Technology Centre in Montreal; Secretary Angela Putz of Canmet in Ottawa; and Treasurer Ray MacDonald, also in Ottawa and retired from Canmet.
