Doing more with less time

Canadian Mining Journal Staff | June 1, 2006 | 12:00 am

Victaulic, the world’s leading producer of mechanical pipe joining systems, has launched a new micro-website devoted to the issues, trends and challenges associated with compressed schedule projects. The new site, www.compressedschedule. com, offers expert information, tips and solutions for engineers, EPCs, contractors, owners, facility managers and other professionals dealing with compressed schedule projects.

The site features articles, strategies and tips for maximizing jobsite efficiencies to compress schedules. New articles and features will continue to be added. Future plans include expanding the site to include industry-specific information, an “Ask the Experts” column, discussion groups and chat boards for professionals, as well as information and strategies submitted by industry professionals.

“Our hope is that this site will provide a forum for professionals to discuss issues and challenges they are currently facing, share strategies that have been successful and develop solutions together,” said George Fenton, manager, Victaulic Construction Piping Services.
