The main mechanical shop of the Trout Lake copper-zinc mine near Flin Flon, Man., was the venue for the Dinner in the Dark banquet in mid-May. The candlelit dinner for 300 people with accompanying live music was part of the Mid-Canada Mining Corridor Conference. Trout Lake is also host to a medicinal marijuana growth project, besides being one of Hudson Bay Mining & Smelting's five operating mines (see page 18).
