Falconbridge Limited has a 44% ownership interest in the Collahuasi copper mine, located in Region I in northern Chile. Collahuasi is the fourth largest copper mine in the world. A US$654-million expansion program is underway to boost capacity to 110,000 tonnes of ore per day.
