Rotary sample splitter

Canadian Mining Journal Staff | February 1, 2006 | 12:00 am

Knelson Gravity Solutions of Langley, B.C., has announced that a complete line of proprietary lab equipment is now available to the mining industry. The company has been pioneering the research, development and commercial application of gravity concentration equipment for over 25 years.

The most recent addition is the Knelson rotary splitter, which offers a superior splitting method, minimizing the influence of grain size, shape and specific gravity on sample splits. The innovative design splits directly into containers, pails or bags and features eight discharge chutes. The split samples are representative and may be recombined to obtain larger samples as required. The rotary splitter has a variable speed feeder and distributor, and boasts a large 120-litre feed hopper capacity. For more information see www.knelson.com.
