Workwear in a woman’s fit
Carhartt, Inc.’s workwear is now available in fits and sizes designed especially for women. The new Carhartt for Women line of clothes and accessories was tested in fall 2006 at 150 retailers, and began shipping to North American retailers in May of this year.
Initially, the line will consist of jeans, dungarees, knit shirts, sweatshirts, outerwear and accessories, including the iconic Carhartt Detroit Jacket and Sandstone Work Dungarees. The pants are designed with a contoured waistband that eliminates gapping. The gloves for women use the same materials and quality as men’s gloves, but are designed for a woman’s hand width and length.
Headquartered in Dearborn, Mich. with more than 4,000 employees worldwide, Carhartt (www.carhartt.com) is privately owned and managed by the descendants of company founder, Hamilton Carhartt.
