VANCOUVER - The 13th Annual British Columbia MEND workshop on metal leaching and acid rock drainage will be held on Nov. 29-30, 2006, at Simon Fraser University Harbour Centre.
The workshop will cover both open pit and underground situations. Presentations will include case studies of hydrogeology, geochemistry, prediction and measurement of acid drainage, closure plans and post-closure performance, and the use of closed mines for waste disposal. When the list of presenters is finalized, the agenda will be posted at www.MEND.NRCan.gc.ca.
