Hatch was recognized as one of Canada’s safest employers for 2015 at the fourth annual Canadian Occupational Safety Awards Gala, held on Oct. 28 in Toronto.
Hosted by Thompson Reuters and Canadian Occupational Safety, the annual award recognizes outstanding accomplishments in promoting health and safety in the workplace. Hatch was the gold recipient in the mining and natural resources category at the event.

Safety is a core value at Hatch and a key aspect of Hatch’s service offering to clients in all sectors. Hatch continues to strengthen its strong safety record and implement company-wide programs to instill safety values every day in lives of Hatch employees – whether on site, in the office or at home.
To qualify for the award, Hatch submitted a detailed nomination with examples of how safety is maintained and communicated to employees. Canadian Occupational Safety then conducted an employee perception survey with organizations that were shortlisted, to gather feedback on how safety is engrained in the company’s organizational culture. Winners were determined by a panel of industry judges, based on the nomination and results of the employee perception survey.
