NEWFOUNDLAND - Vancouver-based MESSINA MINERALS has drilled exceptionally high grades at its Boomerang deposit, part of the Tulks South property in the central part of the province. Recent assays from hole 222 returned a 10.2-m length of 18.0% Zn, 4.4% Pb, 0.9% Cu, 118.0 g/t Ag and 1.3 g/t Au. Another hole, 228, intersected 14.0 m of 11.3% Zn, 3.4% Pb, 0.5% Cu, 91 g/t Ag and 0.6 g/t Au.

Messina has drilled four of eight infill holes at Boomerang, where resources are being upgraded to indicated from inferred.
