NETHERLANDS – In 2013 Samson Materials Handling launched a new, tracked version of its Stormajor®, the BF40415T boom feeder. It offers proven high performance and reliability with unrivalled maneuverability. This concept delivers a cost effective solution for stockpiling, barge loading, ship loading and railcar loading – in the world’s most arduous conditions at densities of up to 1.6 t/m3 and at a capacity of up to 625 m3/hr.
The new BF0415T is equipped with a folding 15 meter boom which along with its compact design enables it to be deployed and operational within minutes of being delivered to site. This boom feeder has a huge radial range, capable of stockpiling at +/-65°. It offers greater efficiency with fewer moves and a maximum stockpile size of 3,130 m3. The unit is easily operated through its remote control umbilical or optional radio control module.
The track-mounted BF0415T has been designed for utilization with off-road trucks up to 30 tonnes capacity, road trucks hauling 30-tonne trailers, and wheel loaders with a bucket capacity of up to 8 m3. The Stormajor BF0415T can also be supplied with an interchangeable 20-meter boom making this the perfect solution for the owner-operator or fleet owner requiring huge stockpiling capacity over multiple sites.
