GERMANY – The new Aumund type BWG-GK bucket elevator for coarse material features a innovative configuration principle, one that can significantly extend the belt life. The narrow, overlapping positions of the buckets hide the belt so that no material can become jammed between the backs of the bucket and the belt. The outer edges of the belt are also protected against damage.

The manufacturer says that even in case of an emergency stop, it is possible to empty the elevator at low speed without having material slip behind the buckets.

The BWG-GK is the first bucket elevator that makes it possible to economically move coarse grained material up to 60 mm in diameter. Previously, belt bucket elevators have been limited mainly to the transport of fine grained goods to avoid damage and frequent maintenance.
