QUEBEC - Toronto-based IAMGOLD is pleased with the results of recent drilling at the Westwood-Mooshla underground exploration program. And what's not to like about 34.9 g/t Au over 8.0 m and 160.6 g/t Au over 1.0 m? The Westwood deposit was discovered during a surface drilling program in 2004 just a few kilometres from the Doyon and Mouska gold mines.
The Westwood deposit can be reached via drift on the 14th level of the Doyon mine, near Cadillac.
IamGold acquired the two mines when it acquired Cambior in November 2006. Additional information is available at www.Cambior.com, but unless you click the "Cambior" button, the site redirects visitors to the IamGold site which does not have information on the Doyon Division.
