ALBERTA FINNING INTERNATIONAL is investing $65 million in a new component rebuilding centre to be built in Edmonton. The facility will be completed in January 2005, and independently operated by OEM REMANUFACTURING. The plant will remanufacture Caterpillar engine, hydraulic and power train components.

When the new facility is fully operational, OEM will double its size and employ about 300 people. OEM was established in 2003 through the amalgamation of the operations of Headhunters Diesel Ltd. and Reliable Engine Services Ltd. OEM is equipped to serve a diversified range of industries across North America. Associated with this investment, Finning (Canada) announced that it has entered into a 10-year customer services agreement with OEM to rebuild Caterpillar components that Finning (Canada) currently remanufactures.
