LAS VEGAS - If you are going to the CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2008 in this city in March, be sure to see the new Raptor(TM) XL900 cone crusher that will be introduced by FLSMIDTH EXCEL. The company is billing it as a high-performance solution for medium- to high-tonnage mining and aggregate operations.

The XL900 has a higher pivot point and larger crushing stroke than similar models. It handles feed sizes up to 370 mm up to a 4:6 reduction ration, thereby providing excellent product shape and high yields. Maximum throughput is 1,270 t/h. The XL900 crusher can be installed to replace cone crushers with a 1,500-mm head diameter or larger without major modifications to foundations or feed arrangements.

Raptor Cone Crushers employ "Fail Safe" hydraulics through an internal relief valve within the dual-acting tramp release cylinders, which ensures the machines stay protected from mechanical overload should an accumulator bladder fail. Another safety feature standard on all models is the counter-clockwise rotation crushing action that protects the machine if adjustment ring movement is excessive, or if the ring gear brakes fail.

All Raptor cone crushers have "fail safe" hydraulics and an automated overload sensing technology. The same advanced automation system can be used to optimize the crusher performance with feed control, setting adjustment and monitoring of critical lubrication and hydraulic parameters.
