EDMONTON The CIM (Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy & Petroleum) will hold its annual meeting at Edmonton from May 9-12, 2004. It is the one yearly gathering of experts from all disciplines in the mining and oil & gas industries.
Focusing on "Mining NorthWhat's Happening", the plenary session will be moderated by CBC's Peter Mansbridge. Jim Carter of Syncrude and chair of the Mining Association of Canada, Jim Excell of Narego Solutions, Jim Boucher of the Athabasca Tribal Council, Eira Thomas of Stornoway Diamond Corp., Peter Jones of Inco, and Gordon Van Tighem, mayor of Yellowknife, will participate.
