BRITISH COLUMBIA - Vancouver-based IMPERIAL METALS has drilled good copper and gold grades in a hole that extends 1,024.1 metres vertically in the East zone at the Red Chris project, 80 km south of Dease Lake. This, the longest hole in the history of the property, assayed 1.01% Cu, 1.26 g/t Au and 3.92 g/t Ag. Better still, the hole bottomed out in strong mineralization, said Imperial.

Another vertical hole drilled in the Main zone intersected 996.4 metres of mineralization that graded 0.40% Cu, 0.38 g/t Au and 1.29 g/t Ag. It, too, bottomed in mineralization.

Imperial says these holes indicate that the Red Chris mineralization is much more extensive than previously outlined.
