PERU –
Hudbay Minerals has resumed operations at the Constancia copper-molybdenum mine following the negotiation of a peaceful resolution to the occupation of the open pit. The Peruvian government aided in the negotiations.
Hudbay announced last week that it had ceased mining after trespassers occupied the pit. The stoppage was deemed necessary for the safety of employees, contractors and the trespassers.
