ONTARIO - ATLAS COPCO EXPLORATION PRODUCTS of North Bay has proudly introduced its new Hobic Torpedo V-13 coring bit to the mineral industry. The company says field tests have shown it to be 30% more productive and 15% longer lasting in medium to very hard rock, both competent and broken, when compared to other bit profiles.
The V-13 is so named for its 13-mm impregnation. All Torpedo bits are designed to stay sharper longer, drill a straighter hole and make longer core runs in blocky ground.
