MINAS GERAIS, Brazil A definitive mine plan is being prepared for the Canastra 1 kimberlite pipe belonging to BLACK SWAN RESOURCES. The company plans to retreat the tailings left at the site after De Beers did some bulk sampling. This area of Brazil has produced an estimated 2 million carats of diamonds since 1937, mostly from small alluvial operations.

The mine plan is being prepared by Gemcom (Brasil). SGS Lakefield is supervising the tests on a representative sample of the tails.
