NORTHERN ONTARIO Toronto-based SUDBURY CONTACT MINES is upbeat about its Timiskaming diamond project, 550 km north of Toronto. The company confirmed the presence of commercial-sized diamonds following the processing of a mini-bulk sample. The good news just keeps coming with the discovery of a new diamond-bearing kimberlite and a potential new cluster.

The mini-bulk sample was taken from kimberlite 95-2 and returned commercial-sized macrodiamonds from all of the 61 samples. Twelve diamond exceeded 3.35 mm, and four of those exceeded one carat each. The recovered diamonds are mostly white and transparent with minor brown, pink and yellow colouration.

Following up on airborne geophysical and till sampling anomalies, Sudbury Contact discovered two more kimberlite pipes, designated KL-01 and KL-22. They are located in Klock Township 20 km southwest of kimberlite 95-2 and bring the company's total to seven kimberlites.
