CHILE - UNIVERSAL DRILL RIGS CHILE (UDR Chile), a subsidiary of Moncton-based MAJOR DRILLING GROUP INTERNATIONAL, is now the exclusive representative of SCHRAMM INC. in Latin American countries, with the exception of Argentina. UDR Chile will provide service and technical support for some 50 Schramm and 65 UDR rigs operating in the region.
UDR Chile also recently relocated its manufacturing facility for the popular UDR200D drill rig to Santiago, Chile, from Australia. The move reduces delivery times and takes advantage of favourable import and export agreements among most countries of the Americas. Five orders for locally-built machines have already been received.
