ATLAS COPCO has launched the Explorac 220RC reverse circulation drill as a cost-effective rig with low operation and maintenance costs. It is the only surface exploration drill tailor-made for RC drilling with dual-walled pipe.
The Explorac 220RC is based on 20 years of experience. It is designed and built according to specifications from exploration professionals, and every component has been carefully selected and fine-tuned to give optimal result. Pullback capacity is 220 kN. Compressor capacity is 30 bar.
The ergonomically designed remote control panel can be set up at a distance of 10 metres from the drill rig. The operator can survey all drilling functions (drilling, rod handling, sampling, compressor, engine, pumps, etc.) from the portable self-diagnostic operator's panel based on the Atlas Copco-developed CAN-bus system, which makes the drilling operation safer. The driller has full control over the entire drilling operation.
