PELLEY MOUNTAINS, Yukon There is yet another gem-quality emerald-bearing zone at Canada's first such discovery, the Regal Ridge project belonging to Vancouver-based TRUE NORTH GEMS. The newly identified Mattscar zone hosts three visible quartz-tourmaline veins, it has been confirmed. Further sampling is now underway.
Company president Bernard Gaboury is excited: "In addition to the 1.4-carat rough gem-grade emerald crystal previously discovered, emerald mineralization is visible throughout the Mattscar zone." Discovery of this zone brings to 13 the total of confirmed emerald-mineralized zones at Regal Ridge.
True North has accelerated its sampling and underground work, with both the underground and processing plant moving to two shifts per day. Emeralds are visible in the veins encountered during the underground work. The company also completed upgrades to the airstrip at Regal Ridge, which included lengthening and leveling. The airstrip accommodates a Cessna 206 aircraft and Otter aircraft.
Bulk sample results from Regal Ridge are available at www.truenorthgems.com or contact Ken Shortt, investor relations, in Vancouver at 800-399-8055.
