BRITISH COLUMBIA - Vancouver's bcMETALS CORP. has applied for an Environmental Assessment Certificate for its Red Chris porphyry copper/gold project in northwestern British Columbia. The application will now be reviewed by provincial and federal agencies for 180 days prior to a decision on whether or not to grant the certificate.

The Red Chris deposit will probably be mined at a rate of 10 million tonnes/year to produce 62,000 oz of gold and 95 million lb of copper annually. bcMetals plans to have the bankable feasibility study completed shortly. Visit www.bcMetalsCorp.com for the latest news and presentations.
