GL&V of Montreal has purchased EIMCO PROCESS EQUIPMENT for $80 million. GL&V sees this acquisition as a key step in bringing sales over the billion-dollar mark within the next four years. The purchase also consolidates GL&V's international presence, mostly in emerging markets such as Latin America and the Asia-Pacific region.
Eimco has been in business for over a century. It has become one of the world's leading suppliers of high performance technologies for liquid and solid separation processes. The Eimco name is well known to mineral processors in this country. The sales figure for the last fiscal year was over Cdn$280 million. The large amount of Eimco equipment in use around the world also presents significant opportunities in the aftermarket business, noted GL&V.
GL&V estimates it will take about six months to integrate the operations.
