The R&D team at JENNMAR has developed, tested and approved two new products for roof support in underground mines.
The JMTT torque-tension nut has a new thread design and properties allowing it to rotate as a unit and mix resin. It has no physical delay mechanism such as a shear pin or plug that can foul the drill system or contaminate the muck. Torque is said to be more consistent, and only a small bit of the bolt protrudes from the hole, which makes it suitable in areas where the back is low.
The epoxy-coated Cableox system provides the ultimate in corrosion resistance in cable support systems. Each cable strand is individually coated. The gritty surface on Cableox aids in resin mixing and bonding. It comes in 30-ton and 40-t capacities either non-tensioned or post-tensioned.
