CALGARY, Alberta SHELL CANADA has donated $15,000 in Formula Shell gift certificates to help people throughout British Columbia who have been affected by the forest fires this month. The CANADIAN RED CROSS in the province will distribute the certificates to evacuees for the purchase of fuel, water and batteries.

"This kind of support really makes a difference to families who have gone through some very difficult times this summer in B.C.," said Dan Allen, Western Canada public affairs director for the Canadian Red Cross. "We are grateful for Shell's support and we'll be immediately directing their contribution to vulnerable people in the disaster areas."

Numerous corporations and individuals have donated tens of thousands of dollars to the Red Cross to aid victims of the fires in British Columbia and Alberta. You can join them by calling 800-418-1111 or visiting www.redcross.ca.
