BRITISH COLUMBIA - TASEKO MINES of Vancouver says the latest report puts proven and probable reserves at its Prosperity project at 480.0 million t averaging 0.43 g/t Au and 0.22% Cu, or 4.5 million oz of recoverable gold and 2.0 billion lb of copper. The site is 125 km southwest of Williams Lake. Measured and indicated resources could add 1.0 billion tonnes grading 0.41 g/t Au and 0.24% Cu to the project.

The reserve figures are part of a prefeasibility study. Designers anticipate creating an open pit with conventional truck-and-shovel technology. The proposed 70,000-t/d concentrator would rely on SAG/ball milling and flotation circuits to produce a copper-gold concentrate. The life of the project would be at least 19 years.

Capital costs are estimated at $756 million. Additional information is available at www.TasekoMines.com.
