KIRKLAND LAKE, ONTARIO YOUNG-DAVIDSON MINES, LTD. has received an independent estimate of the mineral resource estimate for its 100%-owned Matachewan gold project located near Kirkland Lake, Ont. The NI 43-101 technical report was prepared by MICON INTERNATIONAL LTD. The estimate is the result of a comprehensive compilation that includes generations of data produced by past and present operators and of block modeling efforts.

In the open pit, there is 6.33 million tonnes of measured resources grading 2.13 g/t Au as well as 0.48 million tonnes of indicated resources at 2.02 g/t Au, and 0.33 million tonnes of inferred resources at 1.34 g/t Au. The underground resources are all inferred, and total 7.8 million tonnes grading 4.05 g/t Au.

The entire report will be available on SEDAR and the company’s web site (www.youngdavidson.com). The company is currently studying the report and planning the next stage of exploration and development for the Matachewan project. Field exploration and resource compilation work conducted on the Project is being carried out under the direct supervision of R.V. Zalnieriunas, P.Geo., who is the project geologist and qualified person.
