QUEBEC Drilling at the Corvet Est property of VIRGINIA MINES has returned up to 10.10 g/t Au over 5.2 m. The drilling is being conducted by Vancouver-based GOLDCORP, which can earn a 50% interest in the property located 42 km southwest of Hydro Quebec's LG-4 airport in the James Bay area.
The recent 4,325-m program included 17 holes in the Marco zone. Virginia reports that the work has confirmed the western extension of the zone. Other interesting assays were 3.96 g/t Au over 7.75 m, 4.78 g/t over 5.00 m, 14.73 g/t over 1.90 m and 3.17 g/t over 2.80 m.
