ALASKA - NOVAGOLD of Vancouver and its joint venture partner BARRICK GOLD of Toronto are in possession of the latest drill results from the Donlin Creek gold project, one of the world's largest undeveloped gold deposits, in the southwest part of the state. In the Lewis area the best core averaged 12.12 g/t Au in three mineralized intervals totalling 18 metres. In the Acma area the best average was 11.18 g/t Au over two mineralized intervals totalling 18 metres. For all drill holes, the grade was 3.61 g/t Au over an average intersection of 67 metres.

NovaGold says the continuity of in-pit resources has been confirmed and that it expects most of that will be converted to measured and indicated resources. The deposit remains open in all directions. A new resource estimate is due in the first half of 2008.

Maps and tables of the results are posted in the news release section at www.NovaGold.com.
