FINLAYSON DISTRICT, Yukon There is gold on the Gleam property only 15 km northwest of where TRUE NORTH GEMS has discovered emeralds at Regal Ridge. The property is owned by True North and optioned to HINTERLAND METALS.
Hinterland collected six chip samples across a showing on the property. The samples returned a weighted average of 3.86 g/t Au and 48.1 g/t Ag over a width of 5 m. The gold-bearing structure consists of a vertical zone of massive to semi-massive sulphide mineralization approximately 4-m wide found in brecciated rock that also shows disseminated sulphide mineralization. The sulphide mineralization has not yet been positively identified, according to True North.
Hinterland has an option to earn 100% of the Gleam property under the terms of a three-year agreement concluded late last year. The same agreement gives True North the right to earn back a 50% interest by funding a $200,000 exploration program at the expiration of the initial agreement. True North can earn an additional 10% by providing the money for development.
Also in the southeastern Yukon, True North has made an astounding discovery of rare blue beryls and some very promising emerald mineralization. Read more at www.truenorthgems.com.
