NORTHERN QUEBEC AURIZON MINES reports that it has discovered gold outside the known limits of the 113 zone at the former Casa Berardi mine. Three of six definition holes drilled from underground on the 550-metre level along the eastern edge of the zone intersected mineralization. Core from outside the 113 zone returned uncut assays of 14.5 g/t Au over 7.5 metres, 7.8 g/t Au over 8.2 metres, and 22.0 g/t Au over 6.2 metres.
Within the known limits of zone 113 the longest intersection was 22.9 metres which assayed 8.2 g/t Au (uncut). The best intersection was 12.6 g/t Au over 4.3 metres. Drilling continues as does site preparation for shaft sinking.
