NORTHWESTERN ONTARIO NUINSCO RESOURCES of Toronto has completed a resource estimate for its 17 zone gold deposit near Rainy River. Indicated resources total 1.74 million tonnes at 1.56 g/t Au, 0.03% Cu, 0.21% Zn and 4.0 g/t Ag. In the inferred resources category, the company believes there are 11.0 million tonnes averaging 1.33 g/t Au, 0.02% Cu, 0.20% Zn and 3.6 g/t Ag.

The 17 zone has been outlined along 800 metres of strike to a vertical depth of about 200 metres. The average width of the mineralized zone is 70 metres.

The Rainy River project is an ongoing exploration program in relatively unexplored greenstone terrain. The 17 zone is thought to be an example of volcanogenic massive sulphide mineralization with similarities to the deposits found in the Thompson-Bousquet Camp of northwestern Quebec. Located in a region of extensive overburden cover, the 17 zone and nearby 34 zone nickel sulphide mineralization are both "blind" deposits with no surface outcrop.

More information on the project is available at the company's web site, www.nuinsco.ca.
